Dearest Rose,
Each year I mean to write you a letter, thanking you for all your hard
work you did with Andrea. I believe Andrea is where she is today because
of her great education at Hogg’s Hollow… she loves going to school. She
yearns to learn more and more each day.”
“Hogg’s Hollow not only gave her a wonderful foundation to her
education, but it gave her fond memories. Today, 3 years since
graduating, she continues talking about her fun times with you. You not
only encouraged and provided a great learning facility, you also made
them learn, most of the time without the children even being aware that
they were learning because they were having so much fun in the process.
Today Andi is also taking courses at (our church). She herself reached
for this… I truly believe she loves to learn because you made learning
so fun.
Enclosed I send you a copy of her California Standardized Testing
Report. I know testing doesn’t always show your true colors, but we are
very proud of Andi’s accomplishments.
Sincerely,
Celeste Romero
Dear Rose,
We would like you to know how much we appreciate everything you have
done for Sarah this year. Eighty percent of a child's personality
and way of thinking is completely formed by the age of eight. When
I had to return to work after four years, I searched every possible
preschool placement for Sarah. I was devastated that I was going
to have to give my impressionable daughter to someone else to mold.
I visited your school three times before I felt comfortable to let her
stay with you. I was very impressed with your philosophy of
education and with the way you treated the children with respect.
I saw many similarities between your way of thinking and mine.
We definitely made the right choice to send Sarah to Hogg's Hollow.
She loves going to school, her love of learning is as strong as ever,
and her sense of pride and accomplishment are tangible.
We will always be thankful for the impact you have made on our
daughter's personality. Sarah used to have difficulty expressing
her feelings with friends and with people she loved outside of the
family, but this has now changed. We know she loves you, and I am
sure she has expressed that to you. Thank you so very much.
We hope you will continue to be able to positively impact the lives and
personalities of children for years to come.
Sincerely,
Lisa and Fariborz |

Thank you!
Our son Zen started at Hogg’s
Hollow at the tender age of three. Comparing him (then) to the guy he
has become during this time – it is mind-boggling. We are sure that the
love, caring and challenges he experienced at Hogg’s Hollow had a big
part in this amazing development.
We would have loved having him with Rose longer, but as a good educator
she knows that a teacher has to push out the student to meet new
challenges when he is done – so out he was after a great and moving
graduation.
His academic skills were so advanced that when he started his new
school, he finished his first year there in just three months.
Rose was always proud that her kids are strong, and her kids surely are.
When Zen started his second year at his new school, it was announced
that the sports program would now be more intense and that they would be
training to run two miles – we had a little laugh – Zen had made the
five miles with Rose already, so we guess he will be breaking a school
record soon again.
The field trips Rose did with her kids were great. We admired and
appreciated that the kids were exposed to things from shopping the
grocery store to playing a big church organ.
And then the camp outs and camping trips! It might have been a bit
difficult for mom and dad to let this little guy stay overnight at the
school yard teepee the first time, but parents get over that – the kids
just have fun anyway. And the camping trips really enhanced the kids’
perspective on life, the universe and everything.
Rose, we are happy and grateful that we found each other. Thank you!

Dear Rose and Staff,
Thank you so much for inviting me to the children's graduation. I
just loved seeing the kids perform and the proudness they feel as they
graduate and receive awards.
Your school is exceptional and each time I come to visit and see you
working with the children. . . . I see that you instill something in
them that really helps them to believe in themselves and have confidence
in themselves and helps them to want to accept and go on to the next
step in this life. You are all wonderful teachers!!
Love to you all--have a good summer!
